Oilmax Systems Private Limited, a Pune-based manufacturer of oil cleaning, coolant recovery and industrial waste management systems, is participating in the ongoing PMTX Expo at the Pune Exhibition Centre, showcasing its range of sustainability-focused industrial equipment to visitors from the manufacturing and machining sectors. Oilmax’s journey began in 1995, when the company introduced a fuel filtration technology adapted from systems used in Russian marine vessels, supplying oil cleaning solutions to the shipping and marine equipment industry. In 2011, under the leadership of its founder, Ashutosh Gokhale, the company recognised the potential of this technology for industrial applications and was formally established as Oilmax Systems Private Limited. Since then, the company has expanded its offerings to serve quarrying, mining and broader industrial segments. At PMTX Expo, Oilmax is presenting products across three core segments: oil cleaning systems, cooling systems, and waste compaction machinery. Key exhibits include a sump cleaning system for pool and pump cleaning; a portable, automatic machine that separates tramp oil from coolant so it can be reused; an oil recovery system that extracts usable oil from machining chips and swarf; and a suite of waste management machines, including an industrial waste compactor, a vertical chip machine that hydraulically presses metal chips into briquettes, and a horizontal baling machine for chip processing.

“The most sustainable resource is the one we don’t have to replace. We believe sustainability should not be a cost, it should create value. At Oilmax, our philosophy is simple: optimize every drop of oil or coolant and extend their useful life, and convert resource efficiency into recurring savings for our customers,” said Abhishek Kulkarni, Director, Oilmax Systems.

“As a company, we are into manufacturing of sustainable products. We help different companies use their oil and coolant, and use the waste that they are generating,” said Anshuma Gokhale, who joined Oilmax Systems in 2021 and has since been closely involved in the company’s growth. “We are looking at various industries into machining and different industrial applications that are looking to move more towards a circular economy.”

Explaining the company’s decision to participate, Gokhale noted that Pune serves as a hub for manufacturing and industrial operations, making the expo a valuable opportunity for the company to connect with potential customers and industry peers on its home ground. “This is a very good opportunity for us, being in Pune, to reach out to our potential customers and network in that manner,” she said. Looking ahead, Oilmax plans to expand its product range based on customer feedback over the next 12 to 24 months, with a particular focus on integrating IoT-based technology into its compacting machines. The company sees the expo as an opportunity to gauge industry interest in this new direction.
