India’s largest CMM manufacturer highlighted inline inspection solutions and Industry 4.0 software for the automotive supply chain, with a continued focus on engineering skill development

Accurate – Partnering Quality, a 61-year-old organization and India’s largest manufacturer of 3D coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and quality measuring instruments, showcased its full range of measurement solutions at the Pune Machine Tool Exhibition, targeting the region’s dense network of automotive component manufacturers.

Founded in 1963 as a manufacturer of measuring instruments, Accurate entered the CMM segment roughly four decades ago and has since grown into the country’s largest producer of 3D coordinate measuring machines and quality measuring instruments.

At the expo, the company presented its 3D coordinate measuring machines, video measurement machines, and advanced multi-sensor machines, alongside laser scanners, portable CMMs, and CMMs equipped with non-contact laser systems. Accurate also showcased its inline measurement solutions, Industry 4.0 auto-ballooning software, and a range of quality measurement software.

The company’s participation was aimed squarely at Pune’s automotive manufacturing base, home to numerous Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.

“Pune and the surrounding area was always an automotive hub, and a lot of Tier 1 and Tier 2 manufacturers were here which were supplying to the automotive industry. They were looking for inline inspection solutions as well as various software and measurement products, and we were here to cater to their entire requirement,” said Mangesh Gaikwad, Deputy General Manager, Accurate, who oversees the company’s product range and sales in India.

Among the products on display, Accurate placed particular emphasis on its 3D CMMs paired with non-contact laser scanning technology. “We highlighted here our 3D CMMs along with the non-contact laser scanner. Since Pune was an automotive hub, a lot of tool and die manufacturers and sheet metal component manufacturers were here. Most people were then searching for a product that could save their time in inspection, with inspection happening within a very quick time. So we focused here on that particular non-contact measurement,” Gaikwad said.

Beyond its product showcase, Accurate said its participation reflected a broader commitment to skill development within the engineering community. “We focused our major focus on the skill development and knowledge enhancement of industrial engineers as well as technical institute students and engineering college students. That was then our best motivation, which we could contribute for our society, and being an indigenous organization, that was our first key social responsibility,” Gaikwad said.
